Error Site not found or Error 30001

Signs and Symptoms:

Why?
This website is protected by a security system, but it was not configured properly. In most cases, this error is caused by a missing TLS information

Recommended quick solution

Ensure the following settings are configured correctly in your panel:

  1. The subdomain name is defined in the DNS panel.
  2. In the HTTPS panel, ensure the HTTPS option is enabled.
  3. In the HTTPS panel, have at least one valid certificate.
  4. Check the certificate’s expiration date in the HTTPS panel.
  5. In the HTTPS panel,Verify that the domain name stated in the certificate matches your website (and the entire subdomain).

The cause of the problem:

This error indicates that Cloudguard has not been given enough information to display your website and does not recognize your website. Therefore, the message “Site not found” is issued.

This problem can have one of the following reasons:

  1. If you are connected to the website using the HTTP protocol and encounter this error, it signifies that the address of your subdomain is not registered in CloudGuard. Please navigate to the DNS Record panel and establish an A record for this subdomain.
    • Ensure that you have set up an A record, for instance, for the www domain.
    • Similarly, the subdomain of the root (@) must also be associated with an A record. (This subdomain might appear in the panel as your domain name, such as abc.com)
  2. If this error is seen in the HTTPS protocol, it means that you have not entered the TLS/SSL settings correctly and completely:
    • You may not have enabled HTTPS at all. Be sure to do so, because HTTPS is the secure protocol for clients to communicate with you.
    • You may not have any certificates in your certificates list. (HTTPS protocol needs a certificate to work) In this case either buy and upload a certificate or use CloudGuard’s free certificate service.
    • Your certificate may not be valid (check the expiration date)
    • Your certificate may not match your subdomain. (For example, you received the certificate for www, but there is no suitable certificate for the mail subdomain)
      • In HTTPS, the certificate must match the subdomain.
      • * certificates, a.k.a. wildcards, include entire subdomains. But only to one level. That is, *.abc.com includes download.abc.com but not mirror2.download.abc.com

  1. To get a free certificate, your entire domain’s NS must be set to CloudGuard. (You will be alerted about this in the panel)
  2. The free certificate will be wildcard or *. Therefore, it can be used for all subdomains up to one level.
  3. Free certificate – if your domain’s NS is correct – will be renewed automatically.
