Signs and Symbols
- Installing Padvish on a few types of network cards will disconnect the network
- Uncheck Padvish NDIS driver from network card options to reconnect
Uncheck NDIS will result in disabling Padvish IPS. This is only done at the time of troubleshooting and for testing, after which you must activate it.
Otherwise, the risk that the system is infected with malware exists.
Recommended Solution
- Update network card driver (usually, this is not done by Windows update, and it is necessary to refer to the manufacturer’s website or use specific software)
- If the problem is not resolved, right-click on the network card adaptor and choose Properties.
- Choose the Configure option above the window to open the network card settings
- Find the Advanced page or similar phrase
- Here you can see a list of network card settings that are different for each type of network card. To disable settings you need to change the following items:
- TCP Checksum Offload
- UDP Checksum Offload
- IP Checksum Offload
- IPv4 Checksum Offload
- Checksum Offload
- Receive Segment Coalescing
- Large Send Offload
- Jumbo Packet
Reason
The reason is some network cards are not compatible with software firewalls. Padvish Firewall Driver automatically tries to adjust proper network card settings but for some network cards, it is not automatic and the network card driver does not support automatic settings.
As a result, in some cases, the solution is to update the network card drivers which results in proper communication, and in some cases, the settings must be adjusted manually.
